The Dunedin Centre is a large venue that can be closed off into three separate venues so, under current government requirements, can host 300 clients across the whole venue. Each area has its own amenities and infrastructure to operate independently.
Dunedin Town Hall
The largest of the Dunedin Centre's facilities, this versatile auditorium can be used for conferences, concerts, live performances, exhibitions, balls, or social functions. Accommodating up to a maximum of 2,200 people (seated).
The venue features a built-in stage (which can be extended to suit the client's needs) and excellent acoustics. It also has 2 soloist rooms (dressing rooms), a green room and a choral room backstage. Many original historical features make this a very special venue – such as the impressive barrel-vaulted, coffered ceiling in the ground floor foyer, and 'Norma' our symphonic organ built in 1919.
The Glenroy Auditorium is an ideal space for medium-sized conferences or live performances, seating 400 people whilst maintaining an intimate feel. It has a built in stage and boasts excellent acoustics and equally suited for banquets, conferences, balls, receptions, exhibitions and trade displays.
We have Wi-Fi, data projectors, whiteboards and the full range of technical equipment you may require, while our on-site catering service means your food and coffee is served up just the way you like it.
