With funding from the Community Access Grant, you could hold your event at one of Dunedin's iconic locations, including Forsyth Barr Stadium or the Dunedin Centre and Town Hall.
Applications open from now until the 27th of September 2021 for events to be held between January 2022 – June 2022.
The funding has been used for a wide range of events across both venues, including a range of sports days, Movie Magic, Ukulele Kids' Jam and the Secondary Schools Hip Hop competition.
What is the Community Access Grant?
The Dunedin City Council (DCC) provides us with funds to
support community groups with access and use of our facilities, equipment and resources at the Dunedin
This allows us to provide financial support to people, community
groups and organisations that are not-for-profit or have a charitable status, enabling community users
to utilise the facilities at the Dunedin Centre.
Is your community group eligible to apply for funding?
Does/is your organisation:
- Have charitable status.
- A Not-for-profit.
- An incorporated society.
- Within the educational, health, social, cultural or sporting sector.

What can your group access through the funding?
- Venue rental, such as The Glenroy Auditorium, Dunedin Town Hall or Fullwood Room.
- Security and ushers.
- In-house audio and visual equipment.
- Traffic management.
