Two music icons. Three & a bit centuries apart.

Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565
Philip Glass Symphony No. 12 Lodger
The NZSO’s three-day celebration of music concludes with a voyage across the centuries.
Joseph Nolan, dubbed “indisputably one of the world’s finest organists” (Limelight), performs Bach’s outstanding and immediately recognisable Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Nolan then joins the NZSO, conductor Alexander Shelley and Alto Whirimako Black for Philip Glass’s Lodger Symphony, based on the David Bowie album of the same name.
