A wealth of history in the centre of Ōtepoti Dunedin
The entire complex, known as the Dunedin Centre, is made up of two main structures; the Municipal Chambers building, and the Dunedin Town Hall. Construction of the Municipal Chambers building was completed in 1880, and work on the Dunedin Town Hall started in 1928 and was officially opened on 15 February 1930. Over time, the building went through various renovations and adjustments; the most significant of which took place in the late 1980s and then again in the early 2010s.

Both our venue complexes are located centrally and walking distance apart—a big part of why they work so well for drawing people into town life
The Dunedin Centre is at 1 Harrop Street, right on the Octagon—Dunedin's civic heart. It's part of the same complex as the Town Hall and shares a block with the Municipal Chambers, the public library, and St Paul's Cathedral. The Octagon itself is ringed with cafes, bars, restaurants, and hotels. Forsyth Barr Stadium is at 130 Anzac Avenue, just north of the CBD on the edge of the University of Otago campus. It's about a 15–20 minute walk from the Octagon, and a similar distance from the railway station and the main hotel strip.
