
Community Access Grant
The Community Access Grant (CAG) helps community groups, charities, and not-for-profits access and use the facilities, equipment and resources at Forsyth Barr Stadium and The Dunedin Centre.
Funded by Dunedin City Council, the grant supports events that benefit the community—from cultural festivals to fundraisers, performances, local sport and more.

Applications are currently closed for events held Jul - Dec. Applications for events held in Jan - Jul 2027 open in September.

How do I apply?
Applications are open twice per year.
March - For events held July-December
September - For events held January-June
You will receive your outcome letter by Monday, 1 June 2026. Applications will open again on 31 August 2026 for events in Jan-June 2027.
Who can apply?
The Community Access Grant is available to charities, not-for-profits and incorporated societies.
Make sure you meet the criteria outlined in our guidelines below.
What's covered?
This is dependent on your event type and venue required. You may be eligible for full or partial venue hire subsidy in addition to cover towards security, cleaning and resource hire.
